App development
iPhone and Android apps, built by someone who ships their own.
I design and build native apps for iPhone and Android, and web apps that work on any device. I have taken my own apps through App Store and Google Play review, so yours gets there without the guesswork. A first version takes about 4 weeks.
What you get
Native iPhone apps
SwiftUI apps that feel at home on iOS, including widgets, notifications and Screen Time where the idea needs them.
Native Android apps
Kotlin and Jetpack Compose apps that follow Android conventions and run smoothly on cheaper phones too.
Web apps
Apps in the browser with sign-in, a database, dashboards and email or push alerts, for when an app store is not needed.
Accounts, data and payments
Sign in with Google or Apple, a secure backend, subscriptions and in-app purchases.
AI features
Voice, conversation and smart features that run through your own backend, with spending caps.
Store launch
Store listings, screenshots, privacy forms and review, and fixing any rejections.
A good fit for
- Founders who want a first version in real users’ hands quickly
- Businesses that want an app for their customers or staff
- Existing apps that need new features, a redesign or a rescue
- Ideas that might work better as a web app, to test before going native
How it works
- 1
Tell me the idea
Send an email with what you want to build and who it is for. A paragraph is plenty.
- 2
A short call
We talk it through, and I tell you honestly what I would build first and what can wait.
- 3
A fixed proposal
You get a clear scope, timeline and price before any work starts.
- 4
Built in about 4 weeks
You see progress as it happens, and nothing goes live until you are happy with it.

Questions people ask
How much does an app cost?
It depends on the features, the platforms and any backend. After a short call you get a fixed price for an agreed first version, so there are no open-ended hourly bills.
How long does it take to build an app?
A first version takes about 4 weeks. Store review usually adds a few days. Bigger apps get a timeline in the proposal.
Should I build for iPhone or Android first?
It depends on who your users are and which phones they carry. We can start with one, or launch a web app first to test the idea on both.
Why native apps instead of Flutter or React Native?
Native apps get new iOS and Android features first, feel right on each platform, and are easier to keep working through system updates. For simpler apps, a web app can cover both at once.
What happens if Apple or Google rejects the app?
I handle the review and fix whatever they flag. I have been through rejections with my own apps, so I know what reviewers look for.
Who owns the app and the developer accounts?
You do. The App Store and Google Play listings sit in your own developer accounts, and the code is yours once the project is paid for.
