Tukko
Privacy policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
Tukko is made by Atul Kumar Jha, trading as Jahvix, in Ireland ("we"). This page explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your saves live on your phone. They go online only if you turn on backup (part of Tukko Pro) or share a pile with friends.
On your phone
Everything you save (links, products, screenshots, notes, your piles and reminders) is stored in the app on your device. Search, smart search and reading text in screenshots all run on your phone. Unless you turn on backup or share a pile, we can't see any of it, and deleting the app deletes it.
When Tukko goes online
- Reading what you save. When you save a link, Tukko loads that page from its website to get the title, picture and price. Price alerts load product pages again now and then. Those websites see a normal visit from your phone, as if you had opened the page.
- Amazon links. When you open an Amazon product from Tukko, we may add our Amazon Associates tag to the link. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon handles that visit under its own privacy notice.
- Tukko Pro. Payments are handled by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have Pro; it receives your purchase receipts and an app ID, not your saves. Once you sign in, that ID is your Tukko account ID, so Pro follows your account to a new phone.
- Ratings. Tukko may ask you to rate it using Apple's or Google's own rating prompt. Whatever you choose goes to them, not to us.
Your account
You don't need an account to use Tukko. Backup and shared piles do need one. You sign in with Apple or Google, and we receive an account ID and the email address they give us (Apple lets you hide yours). You choose the name friends see next to your saves, and you can add a profile picture: one of Tukko's drawings, or a photo you pick. A photo is stored as a small square image at an address that can't be guessed, so people in your shared piles can see it.
Backup (Tukko Pro)
If you have Tukko Pro and sign in, Tukko keeps a private copy of your saves in your account, so a new phone or a reinstall gets them back. It keeps backing up as you save, change or delete things. The backup holds your piles (name and colour) and your saves: link, title, description, site, picture link, price, the price when you saved it, whether you're watching the price, your note, text read from screenshots, keywords Tukko added, the pile it's in, its reminder time and when you last opened it, plus screenshots and pictures saved with it. Saves friends add to shared piles aren't in your backup.
Only your account can read your backup. It's stored with Supabase in the European Union (Ireland), and we use it only to give it back to you.
Shared piles
For each shared pile we store its name, who is in it, the saves people add to it (link, title, description, site, picture link, price, note, and screenshots added to it) and people's emoji reactions. Everyone in the pile can see these, along with each person's name and profile picture.
If the pile's owner leaves "Viewable on the web" on, anyone with the invite link can see the pile's name, the names of the people in it, and its saves (but not notes or screenshots) on jahvix.com. The owner can turn this off or make a new link at any time.
If you allow notifications, we store your phone's push token so you hear when someone adds to a pile you're in, or joins one you own. These notifications (the pile's name, the person's name and the save's title) are delivered through Expo's push service and Apple or Google. Signing out or deleting your account removes the token.
Shared piles are stored with Supabase in the European Union (Ireland). We use them only to run shared piles.
Signed in on a new phone, Tukko adds back the shared piles you're still in, for free accounts too.
What we don't do
No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics SDKs, and we never sell your data.
Deleting your data
- Leave a shared pile, or stop sharing one you own, from the pile's share sheet. The owner can remove saves and people.
- Delete your account in Tukko under Settings → Delete account. This deletes your account, your backup, your profile picture, the piles you own, and your saves and reactions in other people's piles, straight away. Saves on your phone stay until you delete them or the app.
- Signing out stops backing up and syncing on that phone. Your backup stays in your account until you delete the account.
- You can also email us to ask for a copy of your data or to have it deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to how we use it. We rely on providing the service you asked for (backup and shared piles) as our legal basis. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
Children
Accounts (backup and shared piles) aren't meant for children under 16. If you're under 16, ask a parent before you sign in.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change matters. Questions: hello@jahvix.com.
