How much does a website cost in Ireland in 2026?

What Irish businesses pay for a website, from €300 templates to custom builds, the yearly costs on top, and what you should get for your money.

Website prices in Ireland run from “free” to tens of thousands, and most of the difference is in what you get, not what you see. Here’s how it breaks down.

The ranges

Irish web design pricing guides published this year land roughly here:

  • Website builders (Wix, Squarespace and similar): €12 to €25 a month, and you build it yourself.
  • A template site of 1 to 5 pages: about €300 to €1,500.
  • A custom small business site with its own design and basic SEO: about €1,500 to €5,000. Freelancers tend to sit at the lower end.
  • An online shop: from about €2,500, more with a lot of products or custom features.

On top of that, expect yearly costs for the domain, hosting and maintenance. With some setups that’s a few hundred euro a year; with others it’s more.

Why two “five-page sites” can cost €500 and €5,000

Speed. A site built on a heavy theme with ten plugins can take five seconds to appear on a phone. People leave, and Google notices. A hand-built static site loads in about a second.

Search. Proper titles, headings, a sitemap and schema.org data (the information Google reads to understand your business) don’t happen by themselves. Neither does setting up Google Search Console.

Enquiries. A good site is designed around one action: call, WhatsApp, book or buy. On Danny’s Landscaping, the quote form sits at the top of the page and opens WhatsApp with the message written, ready for photos of the garden.

Upkeep. WordPress sites need plugin and security updates for as long as they exist. A static site has almost nothing to patch.

What you should get, whatever you pay

  • It works properly on a phone, because most visitors use one.
  • It loads fast. Test it yourself at PageSpeed Insights.
  • It says clearly what you do and where you work, in words, not only in pictures.
  • It’s set up in Google Search Console, with the sitemap submitted.
  • Your domain and hosting are in your name, and you have the logins.
  • Someone can change the text and photos without breaking anything.

Are there grants?

Local Enterprise Offices have run schemes that help small businesses pay for websites and going digital, such as the Trading Online Voucher, and newer ones like Grow Digital. Terms and whether a scheme is open change from year to year, and you usually need approval before you spend anything. Ask your Local Enterprise Office what’s available now.

How I price it

A fixed price for an agreed set of pages after a short call, and a live site in about 2 weeks once I have your text and photos. Every site gets the speed, search and AI search set-up above. See website development, or tell me about your business.
